ఈ స్తోత్రంలో పార్వతీదేవి తన కొడుకును రమ్మని గద్దిస్తూనే, చివరకు శివుడు కూడా విఘ్నాల కొరకు గణపతిని స్మరించవలసి వచ్చిందని కవి చమత్కరించారు. ఈ స్తోత్రము ఆపదలలో ఉన్నప్పుడు పఠిస్తే గణేశుని రక్షణ లభిస్తుంది. శత్రు భయం తొలగి, కార్యసిద్ధి కలుగుతుంది. ముఖ్యంగా అపరాధ క్షమాపణకు, ఆర్తతతో కూడిన భక్తిని పొందుటకు ఇది విశిష్టమైనది.
పార్వతీదేవి పలికెను: ఓ గజాననా! జ్ఞానమును ప్రసాదించువాడా! నేను అత్యంత అవమానమునకు గురయ్యానని నీకు తెలియదా? ఓ గణేశా, నన్ను రక్షించు! లేనియెడల నీపై భక్తి కలిగిన నేను తక్షణమే నా ప్రాణాలను వదిలేస్తాను.
Gauri said: O Gajanana, who imparts wisdom! Do you not know that I am deeply humiliated? O Ganesha, protect me! If not, being devoted to you, I will immediately give up my body.
ఓ విఘ్నేశ్వరా! హేరంబా! మహోదరుడా! ప్రేమను పెంపొందించే అచ్యుతుడా! విఘ్నాలను మరియు రాక్షస సమూహాలను నాశనం చేసేవాడా! నీ పట్ల భక్తితో ఉన్న నన్ను ఈ రాక్షసుని బారి నుండి రక్షించు.
O Lord of obstacles, Heramba, who loves his large belly, Lambodara, the infallible one who increases love! O destroyer of obstacles and the hordes of demons! Protect me, your devoted servant, from this demon.
నీవు సిద్ధి బుద్ధి దేవేరులతో కలిసి మోహంలో ఉన్నావా? లేదా రాత్రి నిద్రపోతున్నావా? లక్షల కొద్దీ లాభాలను గడించాలనే ఆలోచనలో ఉన్నావా? లేదా నన్ను పూర్తిగా మరచిపోయి సుఖంగా ఆసీనుడవై ఉన్నావా?
Are you enchanted by the presence of your consorts Siddhi and Buddhi? Or are you asleep in the night? Are you engaged in thoughts of acquiring lakhs of wealth? Or are you comfortably seated, completely forgetting me?
ఓ దేవాదిదేవా! భక్తుల సహవాసంతో వారు చేసే రకరకాల ఉపచారాలలో మునిగిపోయి ఉన్నావా? లేదా మోదకాల కొరకు నీ ప్రమథగణాలతో ఆడుకుంటున్నావా? ఓ వక్రతుండా! నీవు వివిధ లీలలలో విహరిస్తున్నావా?
O God of gods! Are you being highly honored by the company of devotees and their various offerings? Are you holding the feet of your attendants for the sake of Modakas? Or are you engaged in various playful activities, O Vakratunda?
ఓ మహానుభావా! నీ దాసురాలినైన నన్ను మరచిపోయి నీ ఆనంద భోగాలలో నీవు మునిగిపోయావా? నీవు అంతులేని లీలలను ప్రదర్శించడంలో ఆసక్తి చూపుతావు కదా, మరి భక్తురాలినైన నన్ను రక్షించే ఈ కష్టసమయంలో ఎందుకు వెనుకడుగు వేస్తున్నావు?
O highly exalted one! Are you engrossed in enjoying your own bliss, forgetting this servant of yours? You are eager for endless divine pastimes, but why are you hesitant and delayed in protecting your devotee?
అయ్యో! నీ అనుగ్రహమనే అమృతాన్ని త్రాగే దేవతలు మరియు దిక్పాలకులు నిన్ను స్మరిస్తున్నారు. వేరే దిక్కులేని నీ దాసురాలైన నన్ను వదలిపెట్టి, వారి కొరకు నీవు నానా రకాల కార్యాలలో నిమగ్నమై ఉన్నావు.
Alas! You are remembered by the gods and their leaders who are adept at drinking the nectar of Ganesha's grace. You are engaged in various rituals for them, leaving me, your servant who has no other refuge.
ఓ పరమేశ్వరా! అత్యంత దీనురాలైన నన్ను రక్షించు. నీవు అందరి హృదయాలలో కొలువై ఉన్నావు. ఓ ప్రభూ! వినాయకా! ఎందుకింత ఆలస్యం చేస్తున్నావు? బ్రహ్మాది దేవతలకు ప్రభువైన ఓ దేవా, నీకు నమస్కారములు!
Protect me, the most wretched one, O supreme Lord! You are seated in the hearts of all. O Lord Vinayaka, why are you delaying? O Lord of Brahma, salutations to you!
ఓ మహాత్మా! వేదాలలో నీకు 'భక్తాభిమాని' (భక్తుల పట్ల వాత్సల్యం కలవాడు) అనే ప్రధానమైన పేరు ఉంది. అది అబద్ధం కాకపోతే, ఓ సురేశ్వరా! వెంటనే వచ్చి ఈ రాక్షసుడిని సంహరించి, నా హృదయంలో నీ పాదాలను నిలుపుకున్న ఈ దాసురాలిని రక్షించు.
O great soul! If the name 'Bhaktābhimāni' (one who prides in his devotees) is prominent in the Vedas but not true in you, then O Lord of gods, come quickly, kill this demon, and protect your servant whose heart is fixed on your feet.
అహో న దూరం తవ కించిదేవ
కథం న బుద్ధీశ సమాగతోఽసి |
సుచింత్యదేవ ప్రజహామి దేహం
యశః కరిష్యే విపరీతమేవమ్ ॥ ౯ ॥
అయ్యో! నీకు ఏదీ దూరం కాదు కదా. బుద్ధికి నాథుడవైన ఓ దేవా, నీవింకా ఎందుకు రాలేదు? బాగా ఆలోచించు దేవా, నేను నా దేహాన్ని త్యజిస్తున్నాను. తద్వారా నీ కీర్తికి అపఖ్యాతి కలుగుతుంది.
Alas! Nothing is far for you. O Lord of intelligence, why haven't you come yet? Contemplating well, O God, I shall give up my body, and thus the opposite of glory will be yours.
