I meditate in my heart today upon the son of the wind god, who is free from all worldly desires, whose body is thrilled with tears of joy, who is extremely pure, and who is the foremost messenger of the Lord of Sita.

I depend solely upon him who transcends the arrows of the enemy of Shambara (Manmatha), who is noble with wide eyes like lotus petals, who has a neck like a conch, who is dear to the wind god, and whose lips glow like the Bimba fruit.

I saw him who is the commander of the monkey army, who is like the sun's rays to the night-lotuses of the demon race, who is dedicated to protecting the distressed, and who is the accumulated fruit of the penance of the wind god.

Whoever recites this hymn to the son of the wind god, known as the Pancharatnam, will enjoy all worldly pleasures for a long time and ultimately become a partaker of devotion to Lord Sri Rama.
