కనకధారా స్తోత్రం

వందారులకు మందార వృక్షము వంటివాడు, ఇందిరకు ఆనందకందుడు, అమందమైన ఆనందసందోహముతో బంధురుడు అయిన సింధురాననునికి నమస్కారము. రోమాంచిత శరీరముగల హరి దేహమును, తమాల వృక్షపు మొగ్గలను ఆశ్రయించు తుమ్మెద వలె ఆశ్రయించి, సకల విభూతులను అంగీకరించిన ఆ మంగళదేవత యొక్క అపాంగలీల నాకు మంగళమును కలిగించుగాక.

I bow to the elephant-faced Ganesha, who is like the wish-fulfilling tree to his devotees, the source of Indira's joy, and whose beauty is enhanced by boundless bliss. May the sidelong glance of the Goddess of Auspiciousness, who like a female bee takes refuge in the body of Lord Hari adorned with goosebumps of joy as if it were a tamala tree with closed buds, and who has accepted all divine powers — grant me blessings.

మురారి వదనమును చూచుటకు ప్రేమతో, లజ్జతో, మాటిమాటికి కనులు పోవుచు వచ్చుచున్న ఆ ముగ్ధ, మహోత్పలములపై తిరుగు మధుకరి వంటి దృష్టి మాలతో — ఆ సాగరసంభవ నాకు శ్రీని ప్రసాదించుగాక.

She who, like an innocent maiden, repeatedly casts shy, loving glances at the face of Murari (Vishnu), and whose garland of glances moves back and forth like a row of bees upon a great lotus — may that Goddess born of the ocean bestow wealth upon me.

ఆనందకందుడు, అనిమేషుడు, అనంగతంత్రముతో కూడినవాడు అయిన ముకుందుని ఆమీలిత నేత్రములతో ముదముతో సమీపించి, ఆకేకరస్థిత కనీనికా పక్ష్మములతో చూచు ఆ భుజంగశయుని భార్య యొక్క దృష్టి నాకు భూతిని కలిగించుగాక.

Having approached the blissful Mukunda (Vishnu) with half-closed eyes, who is the source of all joy, unblinking, and engaged in the play of love — may the glance of the consort of the serpent-resting Lord, with eyelashes slightly turned sideways, bring me prosperity.

మధుజిత్ (విష్ణువు) వక్షస్థలమందలి కౌస్తుభ రత్నముపై హరినీల హారావళి వలె ప్రకాశించుచు, భగవంతునికి కూడా కామప్రద అయిన ఆ కమలాలయ యొక్క కటాక్షమాల నాకు కల్యాణమును కలిగించుగాక.

The row of her sidelong glances, which shines like a necklace of blue sapphires upon the Kaustubha gem adorning the chest of Madhujit (Vishnu), and which fulfills all desires and delights even the Lord Himself — may it bring me auspiciousness, O daughter of the lotus.

కాలమేఘపంక్తులవంటి కైటభారి వక్షస్థలమనే ధారాధరముపై మెరుపుతీగ వలె స్ఫురించుచున్న ఆ సమస్త జగన్మాత, భార్గవనందన యొక్క మహనీయమూర్తి నాకు భద్రములను ప్రసాదించుగాక.

Upon the broad chest of Kaitabhari (Vishnu), dark as a row of rain clouds, she who shines like a flash of lightning — may the magnificent form of that Mother of all worlds, the daughter of Bhrigu, bestow blessings upon me.

యత్ప్రభావమున మన్మథుడు మాంగళ్యభాజి అయిన మధుమాథినియందు మొదటగా పదవిని పొందెనో, ఆ మకరాలయ కన్యక యొక్క మంథరమైన, మందాలసమైన ఈక్షణార్ధము ఇచ్చట నాయందు పడుగాక.

By whose grace Manmatha first attained his position with the auspicious Madhusudana — may a portion of that slow, languid, half-sleepy glance of the daughter of the Ocean fall upon me.

విశ్వామరేంద్ర పదవీ విభ్రమమును ఇచ్చుటలో దక్షమైన, మురవిద్విషునికి (విష్ణువుకు) కూడా అధిక ఆనందహేతువైన ఆ ఇందిర యొక్క ఇందీవరోదర సహోదర నేత్రము క్షణమైనను నా యందు ఈషన్నిషీదతు (కొంచెము నిలుచుగాక).

That glance which is capable of bestowing the bewildering position of Indra, lord of all the gods, and which is the cause of supreme joy even to the enemy of Mura (Vishnu) — may that lotus-petal-like glance of Indira rest upon me even for a moment.

యా దేవి యొక్క దయార్ద్ర దృష్టిచే విశిష్ట బుద్ధిగల ఇష్టభక్తులు సైతము త్రివిష్టపపదమును సులభముగా పొందుచుందురో, ఆ పుష్కరవిష్టరుని వల్లభ యొక్క ప్రహృష్ట కమలోదర దీప్తిగల దృష్టి నాకు ఇష్ట పుష్టిని కృషీష్ట (కలిగించుగాక).

Those devotees who are blessed by her compassionate glance easily attain the abode of heaven (Trivishthapa) — may that glance of the consort of Pushkaravishthara (Brahma's lotus-seated Vishnu), radiant as a blossoming lotus, nourish and fulfill me.

ఎటువంటి సంపద లేక విషణ్ణుడైన ఈ విహంగశిశువునందు (నా యందు), దయానుపవనము (కరుణ అను గాలి) చేత ప్రేరేపింపబడిన నారాయణప్రణయిని నయనాంబువాహః (నారాయణుని ప్రియురాలి కన్నులనే మేఘము) ద్రవిణాంబుధారను (ధన వర్షమును) కురిపించి, దుష్కర్మఘర్మమును (పాపతాపమును) చిరకాలము దూరముగా తొలగించుగాక.

May the cloud of the glance of the beloved of Narayana, propelled by the wind of compassion, shower upon this poor, distressed little bird (me) a rain of wealth, removing far away the scorching heat of past sins for a long time.

గీర్దేవత (సరస్వతి) అని, గరుడధ్వజుని సుందరి అని, శాకంభరి అని, శశిశేఖరుని వల్లభ అని — సృష్టి-స్థితి-ప్రళయ కేలీలయందు సంస్థితమైన, త్రిభువనైక గురుని తరుణి అయిన ఆమెకు నమస్కారము.

She is known as the Goddess of Speech (Girdevate), as the beautiful consort of the one bearing the Garuda banner (Vishnu), as Shakambhari, as the beloved of the moon-crested Lord (Shiva) — I bow to that youthful consort of the Guru of the three worlds, who presides over creation, preservation, and dissolution.

శుభకర్మ ఫలప్రసూతి అయిన శ్రుతికి నమస్కారము. రమణీయ గుణార్ణవ అయిన రతికి నమస్కారము. శతపత్ర నికేతన అయిన శక్తికి నమస్కారము. పురుషోత్తమ వల్లభ అయిన పుష్టికి నమస్కారము.

Obeisance to Shruti (the Vedas), the bestower of fruits of auspicious deeds. Obeisance to Rati, the ocean of delightful qualities. Obeisance to Shakti, who resides in the hundred-petaled lotus. Obeisance to Pushti, the beloved of the Supreme Being.

నాళీక (పద్మము) వంటి ముఖము గల ఆమెకు నమస్కారము. దుగ్ధోదధి (పాలకడలి) జన్మభూమిగా గల ఆమెకు నమస్కారము. సోమామృత సోదరి అయిన ఆమెకు నమస్కారము. నారాయణ వల్లభకు నమస్కారము.

Obeisance to her whose face resembles a lotus. Obeisance to her who was born from the ocean of milk. Obeisance to her who is the sister of the Moon and Amrita (nectar). Obeisance to the beloved of Narayana.

హేమాంబుజ (బంగారు పద్మ) పీఠిక గల ఆమెకు నమస్కారము. భూమండల నాయికకు నమస్కారము. దేవాదులయందు దయాపరురాలైన ఆమెకు నమస్కారము. శారంగాయుధ (విష్ణువు) వల్లభకు నమస్కారము.

Obeisance to her who is seated on a golden lotus throne. Obeisance to the sovereign of the earth. Obeisance to her who is compassionate towards the gods and all beings. Obeisance to the beloved of the wielder of the Sharanga bow (Vishnu).

భృగునందన అయిన దేవికి నమస్కారము. విష్ణువు ఉరస్సు (వక్షస్థలము) నందు స్థితి గల ఆమెకు నమస్కారము. కమలాలయ అయిన లక్ష్మికి నమస్కారము. దామోదర వల్లభకు నమస్కారము.

Obeisance to the Goddess, the daughter of Bhrigu. Obeisance to her who resides on the chest of Vishnu. Obeisance to Lakshmi, who dwells in the lotus. Obeisance to the beloved of Damodara (Krishna/Vishnu).

కమలేక్షణ అయిన కాంతికి నమస్కారము. భువనప్రసూతి అయిన భూతికి నమస్కారము. దేవాదులచే అర్చింపబడిన ఆమెకు నమస్కారము. నందాత్మజ (కృష్ణుని) వల్లభకు నమస్కారము.

Obeisance to Kanti, the lotus-eyed one. Obeisance to Bhuti, the mother of the universe. Obeisance to her who is worshipped by the gods and other beings. Obeisance to the beloved of the son of Nanda (Krishna).

ఓ సరోరుహాక్షీ (పద్మముల వంటి కన్నులు గలదానా)! సంపదలను కలిగించునవి, సమస్త ఇంద్రియములకు ఆనందమును కూర్చునవి, సామ్రాజ్యమును ప్రసాదించు వైభవము గలవి, పాపములను పోగొట్టుటలో ఉద్యుక్తములైనవి అయిన నీ వందనములు (నిన్ను గూర్చిన ప్రార్థనలు) ఎల్లప్పుడూ నన్నే ఆశ్రయించి ఉండుగాక (నాచే చేయబడుగాక).

O Mother with lotus-like eyes, O honorable one! May your prayers, which yield wealth, bring joy to all the senses, possess the power to grant empires, and are ever ready to eradicate sins, always envelop me.

ఎవరి కటాక్షమును ఉపాసించు విధము సేవకునికి (భక్తునికి) సకలార్థ సంపదలను (ధర్మార్థకామమోక్షములను) విస్తరింపజేయునో, అట్టి మురారి హృదయేశ్వరివైన నిన్ను వాక్కుచేత, శరీరముచేత, మనస్సుచేత సేవిస్తున్నాను.

The practice of worshipping whose sidelong glance bestows all kinds of wealth upon the devotee, to that Goddess who is the sovereign of Murari's heart, I offer my devotion with words, body, and mind.

పద్మమునందు నివసించుదానా, చేతియందు పద్మమును ధరించినదానా, మిక్కిలి తెల్లని వస్త్రములతో, గంధములతో, పూలమాలలతో శోభించుదానా, భగవతీ, హరి వల్లభా, మనోజ్ఞురాలా, ముల్లోకములకు ఐశ్వర్యమును కలిగించుదానా! నాయందు ప్రసన్నురాలవు కమ్ము.

O Goddess who dwells in the lotus, who holds a lotus in hand, who is adorned with the whitest garments, fragrant sandalwood paste, and garlands! O beloved of Hari, O beautiful one, O bestower of prosperity to the three worlds! Be pleased with me.

దిగ్గజములు బంగారు కలశములనుండి కుమ్మరించిన ఆకాశగంగ యొక్క నిర్మలమైన, మనోహరమైన జలములతో స్నానమాడిన శరీరము గలదానిని, జగన్మాతను, అశేష లోకాధినాథుడైన శ్రీ మహావిష్ణువు భార్యను, క్షీరసాగర పుత్రికను ప్రతిదినము ప్రాతఃకాలమున నమస్కరించుచున్నాను.

I bow at dawn to the Mother of the universes, whose body is bathed by the quarter-elephants with the pure and beautiful waters of the heavenly river (Ganga) poured from golden pitchers, who is the consort of the Lord of all worlds, and the daughter of the ocean of nectar.

ఓ కమలా (లక్ష్మీ)! కమలాక్షుని వల్లభా! దయారస ప్రవాహముతో తరంగితమైన నీ కడగంటి చూపులతో నన్ను చూడుము. ఏలయనగా, దరిద్రులలో నేను మొదటివాడను, నీ దయకు సహజమైన (కృత్రిమము కాని) పాత్రుడను.

O Kamala, beloved of the lotus-eyed Lord! Please look upon me with your sidelong glances that ripple with floods of compassion, for I am the foremost among the destitute and a genuine recipient of your mercy.

వేదస్వరూపిణి, ముల్లోకములకు తల్లి అయిన రమాదేవిని ప్రతిదినము ఈ స్తుతులతో ఎవరైతే స్తుతిస్తారో, వారు ఈ భూమిపై పండితులచే గౌరవింపబడువారై, సద్గుణ సంపన్నులై, గొప్ప అదృష్టవంతులగుదురు.

Those who daily praise Rama (Lakshmi), the embodiment of the three Vedas and the mother of the three worlds, with these hymns, become endowed with great virtues, partake of immense good fortune, and are esteemed by the wise on this earth.

శంకరాచార్యులచే రచింపబడిన ఈ సువర్ణధారా (కనకధారా) స్తోత్రమును ప్రతిదినము మూడు సంధ్యలలో (ఉదయము, మధ్యాహ్నము, సాయంత్రము) ఎవరైతే పఠిస్తారో, వారు కుబేరునితో సమానులగుదురు.

Whoever recites this Suvarnadhara (Kanakadhara) Stotram composed by Shankaracharya every day during the three twilights (morning, noon, and evening) will become equal to Kubera (the god of wealth).
