For this great mantra of Sri Hanuman Kavacham, Sage Vasistha is the seer, Anushtup is the meter, Lord Hanuman is the deity, 'Marutatmaja' is the seed (Bija), 'Anjanasunu' is the power (Shakti), 'Vayuputra' is the pin (Kilaka), and it is chanted to obtain the grace of Lord Hanuman.

I bow with folded hands to Anjaneya, who effortlessly leaped across the ocean, took the fire of sorrow from Janaka's daughter (Sita), and with that very fire burned down Lanka.

I bow my head to the messenger of Sri Rama, who is swift as the mind, fast as the wind, master of his senses, the wisest among the wise, the son of Vayu, and the leader of the monkey army.

ఉదయిస్తున్న సూర్యుని వలె ప్రకాశించేవాడు, గొప్ప భుజబల పరాక్రమము గలవాడు, కోట్ల మన్మథుల సౌందర్యము గలవాడు, సర్వ విద్యలలో ఆరితేరినవాడు అయిన హనుమంతుని ధ్యానిస్తున్నాను.
He shines like the rising sun, possesses immense strength in his arms, has the beauty of millions of Cupids, and is highly skilled in all forms of knowledge.

శ్రీరాముని హృదయానికి ఆనందాన్ని ఇచ్చేవాడు, భక్తుల పాలిట కల్పవృక్షము లాంటివాడు, తన రెండు చేతులతో అభయమును మరియు వరములను ప్రసాదించేవాడు అయిన వాయుపుత్రుని ధ్యానిస్తున్నాను.
He brings joy to Sri Rama's heart and is like a wish-fulfilling tree for his devotees. I meditate upon the son of Vayu, who grants fearlessness and boons with his hands.

వాయుదేవుని కుమారుడు నా పాదములను, రామదూత నా కాలి వేళ్ళను, వానర శ్రేష్ఠుడు నా చీలమండలను, సముద్రమును లంఘించినవాడు నా పిక్కలను రక్షించుగాక.
May the son of Vayu protect my feet, the messenger of Rama protect my toes, the lord of monkeys protect my ankles, and the crosser of the ocean protect my calves.

మారుతి నా మోకాళ్ళను, రాక్షసాంతకుడు నా తొడలను, వజ్రశరీరుడు నా గుహ్య భాగములను, లోకకళ్యాణం చేసేవాడు నా నడుము కింది భాగమును రక్షించుగాక.
May Maruti protect my knees, the destroyer of demons protect my thighs, the diamond-bodied one protect my private parts, and the benefactor of the world protect my hips.

ఆంజనేయుడు నా నడుమును, లక్ష్మణుని ప్రాణదాత నా నాభిని, హృదయవాసి నా కడుపును, మహాబలుడు నా హృదయమును రక్షించుగాక.
May Anjaneya protect my waist, the one who saved Lakshmana's life protect my navel, the one dwelling in the heart protect my stomach, and the extremely strong one protect my heart.

తోకను ఆయుధంగా గలవాడు నా వక్షస్థలమును, అంతులేని పరాక్రమం గలవాడు నా వక్షమును, జితేంద్రియుడు నా పార్శ్వములను (ప్రక్కలను), సుగ్రీవుని మంత్రి నా చేతులను రక్షించుగాక.
May the one armed with his tail protect my chest, the one of boundless valor protect my breasts, the conqueror of senses protect my sides, and the minister of Sugriva protect my arms.

విజయుడు నా చేతులను, హనుమంతుడు నా చేతి వేళ్ళను, భవిష్యత్ బ్రహ్మ నా వీపును, బుద్ధిమంతులలో శ్రేష్ఠుడు నా భుజములను రక్షించుగాక.
May the victorious one protect my hands, Hanuman protect my fingers, the future Brahma protect my back, and the wisest of the wise protect my shoulders.

కపిశ్రేష్ఠుడు నా కంఠమును, రావణుని గర్వమణచినవాడు నా ముఖమును, వాక్చాతుర్యం గలవాడు నా నోటిని, దేవతలచే స్తుతించబడేవాడు నా కళ్ళను రక్షించుగాక.
May the best of monkeys protect my throat, the destroyer of Ravana's pride protect my face, the eloquent speaker protect my mouth, and the one praised by gods protect my eyes.
బ్రహ్మాస్త్రసన్మానకరో భ్రువౌ మే పాతు సర్వదా ।
కామరూపః కపోలే మే ఫాలం వజ్రనఖోఽవతు |

బ్రహ్మాస్త్రమును గౌరవించినవాడు నా కనుబొమ్మలను ఎల్లప్పుడూ రక్షించుగాక. ఇష్టమైన రూపాన్ని ధరించగలవాడు నా చెంపలను, వజ్రం లాంటి గోళ్ళు గలవాడు నా నుదుటిని రక్షించుగాక.
May the one who respects the Brahmastra always protect my eyebrows, the one who can take any form protect my cheeks, and the one with diamond-like nails protect my forehead.
శిరో మే పాతు సతతం జానకీశోకనాశనః ।
శ్రీరామభక్తప్రవరః పాతు సర్వకళేబరమ్ |

సీతమ్మ శోకమును పోగొట్టినవాడు నా శిరస్సును ఎల్లప్పుడూ రక్షించుగాక. శ్రీరామ భక్తులలో శ్రేష్ఠుడైన స్వామి నా సర్వ శరీరమును రక్షించుగాక.
May the destroyer of Sita's sorrow constantly protect my head, and may the greatest devotee of Sri Rama protect my entire body.
