శ్రీమహాలక్ష్మి కుచములపై నున్న కుంకుమ చేత శాశ్వతంగా ఎర్రని కాంతితో వెలుగుతున్న నల్లని దేహం కలవాడా! విశాలమైన పద్మముల వంటి నేత్రములు గలవాడా! లోకనాథా! వేంకటాచలపతీ! నీకు జయమగు గాక!
O Lord of Venkatadri, who is always victorious! Your blue body is eternally marked with the red kumkum from the chest of Goddess Lakshmi. O Lord of the universe, with wide eyes resembling lotus petals, may You be victorious.
తాత్పర్యము:
చతుర్ముఖుడైన బ్రహ్మ, షణ్ముఖుడైన కుమారస్వామి, పంచముఖుడైన పరమశివుడు తదితర సమస్త దేవతలకు తలమానికమైనవాడా! శరణాగతుల పట్ల అపార వాత్సల్యం కలిగిన దయాసముద్రుడా! వృషభాచలపతీ! నన్ను రక్షించుము.
O Lord of Vrushadri! You are the crown jewel among all the gods, including the four-faced Brahma, the six-faced Kartikeya, and the five-faced Shiva. You are the essence of compassion for those who surrender unto You. Please protect me.
తాత్పర్యము:
ఓ వృషభాచలపతీ! కాలక్రమంలో నేను చేసిన సహింపరాని వందలాది అపరాధాలతో నిండియున్నాను. ఓ హరీ! నీ అపారమైన దయతో నన్ను త్వరగా రక్షించుము.
O Lord Hari of Vrushadri! I am filled with hundreds of intolerable sins committed repeatedly over time. Please protect me quickly out of Your supreme compassion.
తాత్పర్యము:
వేంకటాచలంపై కొలువై ఉన్నవాడు, విశాల హృదయంతో భక్తులు కోరిన దానికంటే ఎక్కువగా వరాలను అనుగ్రహించేవాడు, వేదాల చేత పరదైవంగా కీర్తించబడినవాడు అయిన లక్ష్మీపతిని మించిన దేవుడు మరొకరు లేరు.
I do not know any supreme deity other than the beloved of Lakshmi, who resides on the Venkata hill. With His generous heart, He delights in granting boons that exceed the desires of His devotees, and who is proclaimed as the Supreme Deity by the Vedas.
కల వేణుర వావశ గోపవధూ
శత కోటి వృతాత్స్మర కోటి సమాత్ |
ప్రతి పల్లవికాభి మతాత్-సుఖదాత్
వసుదేవ సుతాన్న పరంకలయే |
తాత్పర్యము:
మధురమైన వేణుగానంతో గోపికలను వశపరచుకున్నవాడు, కోట్లాది గోపికలచే ఆరాధించబడేవాడు, వందల కోట్ల మన్మథులంతటి సౌందర్యం గలవాడు, ఆశ్రయించిన భక్తుల కోరికలను నెరవేర్చి ఆనందాన్ని ప్రసాదించేవాడు అయిన వసుదేవ నందనుడి (శ్రీకృష్ణుడి) కన్నా పరమాత్మ నాకు మరొకరు లేరు.
I do not consider any deity greater than the son of Vasudeva (Krishna), whose sweet flute music captivated the Gopikas, who is surrounded by a billion Gopikas, who is as beautiful as a billion Cupids (Manmathas), who satisfies the desires of every tender shoot (devotee), and who grants happiness.
తాత్పర్యము:
అందమైన సద్గుణాలకు నిలయమైనవాడా! దశరథ నందనా! జగత్తులోనే అద్వితీయమైన ధనుర్ధారివి, ధీరుడవు. రఘువంశ శ్రేష్ఠుడా! రమాపతీ! ఓ దయాసాగరా దేవా! నాకు వరాలను ప్రసాదించుము.
O descendant of Dasharatha! You are the repository of delightful virtues and the sole, unparalleled archer in the world with a courageous mind. O Lord of Raghus, Rama, Lord of Lakshmi, please be my boon-giver, O ocean of mercy.
తాత్పర్యము:
భూమికి పుత్రిక అయిన సీతమ్మ యొక్క కమనీయమైన హస్తాన్ని పట్టుకున్నవాడు, చంద్రుని వలె ఆహ్లాదకరమైన ముఖపద్మం కలవాడు, రాక్షసరాజైన రావణుని చీకటిని పోగొట్టే సూర్యుని వంటివాడు అయిన మహనీయుడైన శ్రీరాముని నేను ఆరాధిస్తున్నాను.
I adore the great Lord Raghurama, whose beautiful hand holds the daughter of the earth (Sita), whose lotus face is as charming as the moon, and who is like the sun in destroying the darkness of the demon king (Ravana).
తాత్పర్యము:
ప్రసన్నమైన ముఖము, సుహృద్భావము, సులభముగా పొందదగిన వాడు, సుఖమును ఇచ్చువాడు, తమ్ముడితో (లక్ష్మణుడితో) కూడి ఉన్నవాడు, అందమైన శరీరము మరియు తిరుగులేని బాణాలు గలవాడైన ఆ రఘురాముడిని విడిచిపెట్టి నేను మరే దేవుడిని ఎన్నటికీ పూజించను.
He who has a pleasant face, who is a good-hearted friend, who is easily accessible, who grants happiness, who is accompanied by His brother (Lakshmana), who has a beautiful body, and whose arrows never fail. Leaving aside this supreme descendant of the Raghu dynasty, I shall never, ever worship anyone else.
వినా వేంకటేశం న నాథో న నాథః
సదా వేంకటేశం స్మరామి స్మరామి |
హరే వేంకటేశ ప్రసీద ప్రసీద
ప్రియం వేంకటెశ ప్రయచ్ఛ ప్రయచ్ఛ |
తాత్పర్యము:
వేంకటేశ్వరుని మించిన దేవుడు లేడు, నాథుడు లేడు. నేను ఎల్లప్పుడూ ఆ వేంకటేశ్వరుడినే స్మరిస్తున్నాను. ఓ హరీ వేంకటేశా! నా యందు ప్రసన్నుడవు కమ్ము. నాకు ఇష్టమైన వరాలను ప్రసాదించుము.
Without Lord Venkateshwara, there is no master, there is no master. I always remember, I always remember Lord Venkateshwara. O Lord Venkateshwara, be pleased, be pleased. O Lord Venkateshwara, grant what is dear to me, grant what is dear to me.
తాత్పర్యము:
ఓ ప్రభో వేంకటేశా! నేను చాలా దూరంలో ఉన్నందున నీ పాదపద్మాలకు నమస్కరించాలనే కోరికతో ఇక్కడి నుండే సేవిస్తున్నాను. నా ఈ ఒక్క నాటి సేవను స్వీకరించి, నిత్యం నిన్ను సేవించిన ఫలాన్ని నాకు అనుగ్రహించుము.
O Lord Venkateshwara! Due to the distance, I am unable to come and serve Your lotus feet personally. With the desire to bow down to them, I offer my service from afar. Through this single act of service, please grant me the fruit of eternal, daily service.
