ఓం సహ నావవతు ।
సహ నౌ భునక్తు ।
సహ వీర్యం కరవావహై ।
తేజస్వినావధీతమస్తు మా విద్విషావహై ॥ ఓం శాంతిః శాంతిః శాంతిః ॥
తాత్పర్యము:
ఓం. భగవంతుడు మన ఇరువురినీ (గురు శిష్యులను) రక్షించుగాక. మన ఇరువురినీ పోషించుగాక. మనం కలిసి గొప్ప శక్తితో పనిచేద్దాం. మనం చదివిన విద్య తేజోవంతమై ప్రకాశించుగాక. మన మధ్య ఎటువంటి ద్వేషము ఉండకూడదు. ఓం శాంతి, శాంతి, శాంతి.
Om. May He protect us both (teacher and student). May He nourish us both. May we work together with great energy. May our study be enlightening and may we not hate each other. Om Peace, Peace, Peace.

వేయి శిరస్సులు గలవాడు, విశ్వమంతా చూసేవాడు, లోకానికి శుభాలు కలిగించేవాడు, శాశ్వతుడు, పరమపద స్వరూపుడైన శ్రీమన్నారాయణుడికి నమస్కారం. ఈ విశ్వమంతా ఆ నారాయణుడే. ఆయనే సర్వ లోకాలకు ప్రభువు, ఆత్మలకు ఈశ్వరుడు, శుభకరుడు. నారాయణుడే పరబ్రహ్మం, పరమ తత్త్వం, పరమ జ్యోతి. ఈ జగత్తులో కనిపించేది, వినిపించేది ఏదైనా సరే...
I bow to the thousand-headed Lord, the all-seeing, the benefactor of the universe, Lord Narayana, the imperishable, the supreme goal. He is eternal, omnipresent, the very universe itself. He is the master of all, the Lord of the soul, eternal, auspicious, and infallible. Narayana is the ultimate object of knowledge, the supreme light, the supreme reality. Whatever is seen or heard in this universe...
తాత్పర్యము:
...అదంతా లోపలా, వెలుపలా నారాయణునిచే వ్యాపించబడి ఉన్నది. మానవ హృదయం ఒక బోర్లించిన తామర మొగ్గ వలె నాభికి పైన ఉంటుంది. దాని మధ్యలో ఒక సూక్ష్మమైన ప్రదేశం ఉంది. ఆ ప్రదేశంలో ఎల్లప్పుడూ వెలుగుతున్న గొప్ప అగ్ని ఉంది. ఆ అగ్ని మధ్యలో నీలి మేఘంలో మెరుపు తీగలాగా, వరి ధాన్యం ముల్లులాగా అత్యంత సూక్ష్మమైన ఒక చిన్న బంగారు వర్ణపు అగ్నిశిఖ ఊర్ధ్వముఖంగా వెలుగుతుంటుంది. ఆ అగ్నిశిఖ మధ్యలో పరమాత్మ కొలువై ఉన్నాడు. ఆ పరమాత్మే బ్రహ్మ, ఆయనే శివుడు, ఆయనే శ్రీహరి, ఆయనే ఇంద్రుడు, ఆయనే నాశనము లేని సర్వస్వతంత్రుడైన పరమేశ్వరుడు.
...is pervaded inside and out by Narayana. The human heart resembles an inverted lotus bud, surrounded by arteries, glowing with a garland of flames. In its subtle center burns a great, eternal fire facing all directions. In the very middle of this fire is a tiny, upward-pointing, golden-yellow flame, shining like lightning in a dark cloud. Within the center of that flame dwells the Supreme Soul. He is Brahma, He is Shiva, He is Hari, He is Indra, He is the imperishable Supreme Lord.
ఋతగ్ం సత్యం పరం బ్రహ్మ పురుషం కృష్ణపింగలమ్ ।
ఊర్ధ్వరేతం వి రూపాక్షం విశ్వరూపాయ వై నమో నమః ॥
తాత్పర్యము:
సత్యస్వరూపుడు, పరబ్రహ్మము, నలుపు మరియు పసుపు వర్ణాలు కలవాడు, ఊర్ధ్వరేతస్కుడు, విరూపాక్షుడు (శివుడు) మరియు విశ్వమే తన రూపంగా గల ఆ పరమాత్మకు పదేపదే నమస్కారములు.
Salutations again and again to the Supreme Brahman, the Righteous, the Truth, the dark-blue and yellow Purusha, the ascetic with diverse eyes, who assumes the form of the entire universe.
