May the Daughter of the Mountain King—served as handmaids by all celestial damsels who frolic in the Kadamba groves, whose lotus feet are illuminated by millions of gem rays shining from the diadems of bowing gods, clad in sandalwood-scented silken bodice—bestow upon me, through the nectar of the fragrant tambulam from her benign mouth, a poetic mastery that gallops swifter than the hooves of a spirited steed.

వేదవ్యాసాది మహర్షుల తపోలబ్ధికి స్వర్గసోపానము వంటి పాదధూళి కలదియు, తన నామజపమునందు లీనమైన భక్తుల సమస్త తాపములను హరించుటలో నేర్పరియైనదియు, కదంబవన నివాసినియు, సుగంధ ధూపములచే సువాసితమైన కేశపాశము గలదియు, పర్వతరాజ వంశమునకు దివ్యరత్న దీపము వంటి రూపవతియునైన భగవతీ పార్వతీదేవి నన్ను పాపకూపము నుండి ఉద్ధరించుగాక.
Whose sacred foot-dust serves as the celestial stairway for self-controlled sages like Veda Vyasa armed with austerity; who is skilled in alleviating the agonies of those immersed in chanting her sacred mantra which purges all sins; residing amidst Kadamba groves, her flowing locks fragrant with celestial incense, radiant in peerless beauty as the jewel lamp of the mountain monarch's dynasty—may that Bhagavati lift me up from the dark well of transgressions.
చెలికత్తెలతో కూడి కదంబ వనములలో విహరించునదియు, నల్లని నిడుద కేశసంపద గలదియు, ప్రణమిల్లు దేవతల శిరోరత్నములచే ధూళిధూసరితమైన చరణములు కలదియు, తాళపత్ర కర్ణాభరణములను, నొసట ప్రకాశవంతమైన తిలకమును ధరించినదియునైన కాళికాదేవి నా మనస్సును తన పాదపద్మముల సేవయందు భ్రమరము వలె లగ్నమగునట్లు అనుగ్రహించుగాక.
Who sports happily with her companions among Kadamba blossoms that gently touch her slender form; whose dense, dark locks resemble a serpent-destroying mongoose; whose foot-dust is strewn with dazzling jewels of prostrating gods; who adorns her earlobes with palm-leaf rings and forehead with a radiant tilaka—may that Goddess Kali bind my mind like a black bee devotedly intoxicated at the lotus of her sacred feet.
బాలచంద్రుని వలె ప్రకాశించు ఫాలభాగము కలదియు, కటితటమున అరుణ వర్ణ పట్టు వస్త్రమును ధరించినదియు, దేవతలను బాధించు దానవుల రక్తమును శోషింపజేయు సూర్యతేజస్సు కలదియు, మేఘశ్యామల కేశపాశముతో కదంబ వనమున లీలావిలాసములు చేయునదియు, శూలపాణియైన పరమేశ్వరునిచే వందింపబడునదియునైన పార్వతీదేవి నా హృదయమున నివాసము చేయుగాక.
Her forehead resembling the tender crescent moon, wearing crimson silk about her hips, drying up like a blazing sun the life-blood of wicked demons who perturb the gods, adorned with full bosom, dense hair dark as rainclouds, sporting playfully in Kadamba forests, reverently bowed to by Trident-wielding Shiva—may that Daughter of the Mountain King ever abide in my heart.

ఓ హృదయమా! రక్తమాంసములతో, అస్థిపంజరముతో నిండి రాబందులకు ఆహారమగు ఈ అశాశ్వత దేహముపై ఎందుకు వ్యామోహము పెంచుకొనెదవు? సంసార పంకమును హరించు గిరిజాదేవిని శరణు వేడుము! ఆమె పాదపద్మములు అనుమానములనెడి రాతిని బద్దలుకొట్టు ఉలి వంటివి; దేవతలనెడి తుమ్మెదలచే ఝంకరింపబడునవి; మచ్చలేని చంద్రుని వంటి ముఖకమలము కలదియైన ఆ జగన్మాతను ఆశ్రయింపుము.
O heart! Why do you harbor desires for this mortal body—a mere abode of bones, blood, and food for scavenging vultures? Seek refuge in Girija, the foe of worldly mire! Her lotus feet are like a sharp chisel breaking the rock of all doubts, surrounded by swarms of humming bees (devotees), and her spotless lotus face shines like the blemishless moon.
ఐరావత గజ కుంభస్థలములను మించు వక్షస్థలమున ముత్యాలహారములు కలదియు, రంభాస్తంభములు మరియు గజరాజు తొండముల వలె మనోహరమైన ఊరువులు కలదియు, భక్తులను వాత్సల్యముతో ఆనందింపజేయు పాదములు గలదియు, పరమశివుని దివ్యానురాగ స్పర్శచే పులకించిన అంగసౌందర్యము కలదియు, రత్నాభరణాలంకృతయు, శుంభాసుర సంహారిణియునైన దేవి మాకు సర్వదా శుభములను ప్రసాదించుగాక.
Adorned with pearled necklace strings upon her bosom outshining the frontal globes of Indra's Airavata, whose thighs shame the graceful trunks of majestic elephants and plaintain stalks, whose feet delight children (devotees), revealing through horripilating thrills her tender love upon Lord Shiva's generous embrace, decked in sparkling jewels and the slayer of demon Shumbha—may she ever grant us supreme peace.
Daughter of Daksha, resolutely dedicated to punishing demons, endowed with charming virtues, delighting her countenance in watching the cosmic dance of Lord Shiva (who lives on alms), destroyer of Daksha's arrogant sacrifice, adept protector of her devotees and averse to their adversaries, worshipped by Kubera, endowed with unassailable sovereign victory—bestow thy merciful glance upon me!
వందారు లోక వర సందాయినీ — నమస్కరించు జనులకు వరములిచ్చునది; విమల కుందావదాత రదనా — స్వచ్ఛమైన కుంద పుష్పముల వంటి పలువరుస కలది; మకరందాభిషిక్త చరణా — తేనెచే అభిషేకింపబడిన పాదములు కలది; మందాకినీ జవన భిందాన వాచమ్ — గంగా నదీ ప్రవాహ వేగమును మించు వాక్కును; దిశతు మే — నాకు ప్రసాదించుగాక.
నమస్కరించు భక్తులకు వరములను ప్రసాదించునదియు, మల్లెమొగ్గల వంటి తెల్లని దంతకాంతి కలదియు, దేవతల కిరీట రత్నమాలలందలి మకరందముచే అభిషేకింపబడిన పాదపద్మములు కలదియు, మందమారుతముచే కదలాడు మందార పుష్పమాలికలచే శోభిల్లు కిరీటము కలదియు, పద్మాసనస్థితయునైన దేవి నాకు గంగా ప్రవాహమును మించిన అద్భుత వాక్ప్రవాహమును ప్రసాదించుగాక.
Granting boons to bowed devotees, teeth shining pure like white kunda buds, her lotus feet bathed in honey oozing from celestial garlands worn by gods, crown exquisitely decked with mandara blooms swaying in gentle breezes, seated upon a lotus throne—may she bestow speech rushing swifter and purer than the sacred currents of the Mandakini river.
యత్ర ఆశయః లగతి — నా మనస్సు ఎక్కడ లగ్నమగునో; తత్ర అగజా వసతు — అక్కడ పార్వతీదేవి నివసించుగాక; నిస్తుల శుకా — సాటిలేని చిలుకను చేత ధరించినది; సుత్రాణకారి చరణా — శ్రేష్ఠమైన రక్షణనిచ్చు పాదములు కలది; పుత్రాది దాన నిపుణా — సత్సంతానాదులనిచ్చుటలో దక్షురాలు.
నా మనస్సు ఎచ్చటెచ్చట లగ్నమగునో అచ్చటెల్ల సాటిలేని చిలుకను ధరించిన హిమవత్పుత్రి నివాసము చేయుగాక! ఇంద్ర యమాది దిక్పాలురను శత్రుభయము నుండి రక్షించు పాదములు కలదియు, దేవతా స్త్రీలచే ఛత్రచామరాది సేవలందుకొనునదియు, భయములను పోగొట్టి సుగుణవంతులైన సత్సంతానమును, ధనరత్నాది సంపదలను అనుగ్రహించుటలో నేర్పరియైన దేవి నన్ను సదా పాలించుగాక.
Wherever my heart wanders, may the Mountain-Born Mother abide there holding an incomparable parrot, her feet safeguarding Indra, Yama, and the gods from tormentors; surrounded by celestial damsels serving her under regal umbrellas; skilled in bestowing fearlessness, brilliant gem-like sons, prosperity, and spiritual fulfillment without blemish.
తన స్తుతిని పఠించు భక్తుల సమస్త భయములనెడి దూదిపింజలను భస్మము చేయు అగ్నిజ్వాల వంటిదియు, దేవతల క్షేమము కొరకు దానవ సమూహములను సంహరించి లోకములను అమృతముతో పోషించునదియు, కారుమబ్బుల వంటి నల్లని కురులు కలదియు, కదంబ వనవిహారిణియు, శూలపాణియైన పరమశివునిచే నమస్కరింపబడునదియునైన పార్వతీదేవి నా హృదయపీఠమున ప్రకాశించుగాక.
Like a blazing fire reducing heaps of棉cotton-like ocean fears to ashes upon the recitation of her hymns; protecting the hosts of celestials by destroying raging demon foes; her locks dark as dense thunderclouds, sporting joyfully in the Kadamba grove, adored by Shiva the holder of the trident—may that Daughter of the Mountain King shine forever in my heart.
